Overview
Safety glass is not a decorative extra. It is a compliance and protection decision for doors, sidelights, low level glazing, bathrooms, balustrade areas, shopfronts and other high risk positions where SANS 10400-N may require appropriate safety glazing. With more than 30 years of aluminium and glass installation experience in Krugersdorp and the West Rand, Alu-Value measures on site, advises on toughened and laminated options, uses SABS marked glass where required, and installs with our own crew so the finished opening is neat, secure and fit for daily use.
The problem
Ordinary glass in a door, shower, low window, shopfront or busy walkway can break into dangerous shards. It can also create headaches when a property sale, estate inspection, insurance query or building sign-off asks whether the glazing is compliant. The difficult part is that the risk is often hidden until someone leans, slips, bumps the pane or asks for paperwork.

We match the glass type to the location, frame, size and way the opening will be used. Where safety glass is required, we specify suitable toughened or laminated glass, manufacture the aluminium to the exact opening and install it with the same care as the visible finish.
