Our founder was working on his older brother's farm when he was asked to help with aluminium frame manufacturing. He had a natural feel for physical structures and started building frames right there on the farm. The work kept coming. He got so busy he left the farm to do aluminium full-time.
After about seven years, he went out on his own and opened the doors of Alu-Value in Randfontein. One employee. An Isuzu bakkie. His power tools. That was the whole operation.
He built the business on relationships. Not contracts, not tenders. Trust. Some of the developers he worked with in those first years are still clients today, three decades later.
At his peak, the team grew to 15 employees and two site managers. Contracts across housing developments, shopping malls, car dealerships, showrooms, and residential bathrooms. Aluminium and glazing was always the core.
Around 2010, the business moved its base from Randfontein to 96 Rustenburg Road in Krugersdorp, where Alu-Value has operated ever since.
When lockdown hit, the business had to scale down. But the doors never closed.
The next generation grew up around the work, learning glazing, putty work, drilling, and installations from school holidays onward. The founder's daughter joined the company in 2017. His son officially came on board in 2026 and is now driving the next generation of Alu-Value forward.
The plan is simple: keep the reputation for good service and quality workmanship that took three decades to earn.
